a flowing water archway leads to the first of many ways up umyeonsan

Seoul Arts Center - front green round building top
lets go to the temple
follow the empty spring channel down a million steps
some of which to my delight had numbers on them... i'm not the only one

welcome to the tiny blessed temple of umyeonsan, under construction
a little but still an enjoyable end, their pavilions of lanterns were awesome!
I hope more temples that I visit have similar places to enjoy, the festival of lanterns (free lantern making near insadong... yay!) and buddah's birthday are two pretty awesome combined holidays
Overall it was a great hike, finally now that it seems the weather has gotten warmer I will be spending more time in the park and enjoying the day hiking Korea has to offer. All the mountains connect, so maybe one day I will see how far I can get in a day!
After the hiking trip patrick invited me out to enjoy olympic park with him so we brought our reading books and found a bench for a few hours, idly chatting and enjoying the weather, then later catching some galbi on the walk home and taking a few back streets through our local farmers market... which i have yet to take my camera too. this is going to be a super easy week at work. fashion show and cooking tuesday, wednesday off and friday is our overnight stay on nami island.
